AlBabenshal Heritage Lodge
Overlooking the ruins of the Shali Fortress
Albabenshal Heritage Lodge is a restoration project within the historic Shali Fortress in Dowtown, preserving the original architecture while repurposing it as a heritage lodge. Local materials and traditional building techniques were used to maintain the site’s authenticity. The design adapts the Fortress’s existing structure to create rooms integrated into its ancient ruins.

Kenooz Shali Lodge is built around a lush palm garden, carefully preserving the natural landscape, and without cutting down or damaging any of the surrounding trees. The design thoughtfully creates spaces around the existing palms, integrating them into the architecture. Located just a few minutes from Downtown, the lodge offers a peaceful and tranquil retreat.
